- Color postcard depicting the old Post Office from the corner of W Fort and Shelby Streets. Printed on verso: The Detroit Post Office occupies the site from which in 1796 frowned the bastions of old Fort Shelby. The present great stone building was first occupied in 1897. The United States paid $401,258.38 for the site, $1,078,741.62 for the building and $33,000 for the furnishings. The United States court room on one of the upper floors is one of the finest halls of justice in the United States. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jul 18, 1910.

Three people can be seen standing between the second and third mail trucks, and another person is visible in the second window from the right of the entranceway. - Colorized halftone print of a photograph depicting the west side of Campus Martius, as viewed from an elevated position, likely from the Pontchartrain Hotel. The primary copy has bolder colors and is mounted on beige cardstock. The secondary copy has lighter colors, and includes the title, "'The Heart of Detroit' - Reproduced from Photograph," as well as the notation, " Jos. Mack, Printer, Detroit." Both versions include captions below labeling the Post Office, City Hall, Pardridge and Blackwell in the Majestic Building, the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Merrill Fountain, and the Opera House. A sign reading, "Welcome National Hay Association" is posted on the front of City Hall. The moonlight tower in front of City Hall on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue is visible. Electric streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, and pedestrians are on the streets below. "1902-1903" handwritten on lower right corner of secondary copy, and "Fine Cigars and Tobacco, Confectionary, Soft Drinks, and School Supplies, Etc., 528 Dix Ave. Detroit, Mich." stamped on its verso.

- Single page from Ballou's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion, dated November 11, 1856, pgs. 281-282. Page 281 features three Detroit-related etchings. The etching on the top left depicts a Post Office on Woodward Avenue, with pedestrians walking on the sidewalk and a horse drawn carriage in the street. The etching in the center on the right depicts St. Ann's Church at the corner of Larned and Bates Street, with a woman and child walking along the sidewalk and a child playing with a dog in the street. The etching on the bottom left depicts Odd Fellow's Hall on Woodward Avenue, with grocery, drug, and hardware stores also depicted. The verso, page 282, contains a poem titled "A Memory," by Eliza F. Moriarty, and a story titled "Too Miserable by Half," by Herbert Linton.

- Half-tone print of an artistic rendition of a bird's-eye view of Detroit in 1908, and a black and white photographic print of it hung on a wood-paneled wall. The caption above the image reads, "Detroit 1908-Same Area As View Above." Below the image, "What Detroit has accomplished in the past, is the best evidence of its future prosperity" is printed. The pictured print depicts downtown Detroit, and areas to the west, rough from Fourth Street to Raynor Street, and State Street to the Detroit River. Visible landmarks include the Wayne County Building, Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, the Majestic Building, City Hall, the Pontchartrain Hotel, the Post Office at Fort and Shelby, and the Ford Building. Several steamships, including those of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, the COLUMBIA, and the LANSDOWNE are pictured at dock or under steam.
