- This item is constructed like a photograph album, but it is not known how many copies of it were produced. Handwritten inside the cover is the following: "Presented to Public Library of Lansing, Mich. by Wagenvoord and Co. Bookbinders and Fred J. Wagenvoord, Photographer." The book includes photographs of flooded Lansing, each identified. - View to the west of Lansing Wheel Company on South Cedar Street near the Water Works plant. Wheel manufacturing ended at this location in 1891 when the company was bought by American Wheel. The 1892 Sanborn Map (page 8) identifies the structure as Michigan Wheel Company. Gift of Mrs. A. D. Courtright.

- The view is from River Street to the northwest into the intersection. The American Bank and Trust office on East Washtenaw Street was at that location for only a brief period. Hal Clark Tailors is also on the 100 block of East Washtenaw Street. The large building to the right is the auditorium portion of the Michigan Theatre on South Washington Avenue. The Michigan National Tower is prominent in the background.
