- Program for the first Annual Championship Games of the Amateur Athletic Union of the United State held on the grounds of the Detroit Athletic Club on September 19, 1888. The program is bound in a yellow paper cover with decorative lettering for the title. Within are lists of committee members, board members, and officers responsible of the day, as well as schedules and lists of competitors for various track and field events: 100 yards run, 120 yards hurdle, one mile walk, one mile run, 220 yards run, two mile bicycle race, 220 yards hurdle race, three mile walk, 440 yards run, 880 yards run, five mile run, running high jump, tug of war, 16 pound shot put, running long jump, 16 pound hammer throw, pole vault, and 56 pound weight throw. In addition there are numerous illustrated advertisements.

- Jack Heppinstall talks about his experiences as the trainer for the Michigan Agricultural College (M.A.C.) Athletic Department, beginning in 1914. Heppinstall reminisces about working with the boxing and wrestling teams, going to the 1948 Olympics in London as the boxing trainer, Biggie Munn's 1947 loss to the University of Michigan and his pay throughout the years. He says that he worked for 69 head coaches in various sports during his time at the university and that being inducted into the trainers hall of fame is his most treasured honor.

- An oral history from Walter Graff, longtime Eastern High School coach, member of the Knights Templar, the Lansing parks board, and an inductee in the Greater Lansing Sports Hall of Fame. He was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Iron Mountain, and was also a veteran of World War I. Walter Graff was interviewed by James Walkinshaw and Graff's son-in-law Duane Vernon at the Burcham Hills retirement center on November 8, 1988. A transcript for this recording has not been completed.

This photograph was taken in May 1912 outside the original school building. Some of the players pictured are Merl Green (Greene), a senior; Paul H. Brusselbach Russel; Glen Brook (Brooks) who was an infielder and also a senior; Arthur Heimerclinger; Frank Beebe, catcher; Linford Scott, first row, right, seated on ground; Kenneth Marsh; John Joy; Lester Smith; LaVerne Cochrane, an outfielder and a senior; Otis Seely; Stanley Towner; Jack J. Brusselbach Russel, a senior.

- This small collection contains personal memorabilia and correspondence collected by mother and daughter Ursula M. Greene Lowell (1861-1936) and Ruth Lowell Oliver (1902-1994). Ruth was Ursula's only child with her husband Herbert "Bertie" J. Lowell (1861-1935). Among Ursula Greene Lowell's materials are several cabinet card photographs and tiny matted tintype photos, most taken in New York State, and all but one (S. A. Greene) are unidentified. There are some pieces of family correspondence dating from 1802 to 1847. Ruth Lowell Oliver was born when both of her parents were 40 years old. Based on a small amount of her memorabilia, she attended Lansing High School in approximately 1919-1921. She also attended both Michigan Agricultural College (Michigan State University) and Michigan State Normal School (which became Eastern Michigan University). In census records she was listed as a teacher. Her husband Glen A. Oliver (1889-1970) was 15 years older and a farmer. They lived in a rural area near Wacousta in Clinton County, where their parents and grandparents had lived, for most of their lives. They did not have children. Ruth's memorabilia includes several photographs of women's sports teams from M. A. C. dated 1922-1925. There is also a photograph printed on pink paper of a bonfire, "Michigan Aggie Bonfire, Nov. 10, 1922." The collection contains approximately 120 letters sent to Ursula Greene between 1882 and 1888, with their original envelopes, and another 38 letters and postcards between Ruth Lowell and her parents from about 1919, also with envelopes. This collection appears to have been an estate sale purchase by David Caterino, who then left the collection to the Capital Area District Libraries.
