- Description:
- The DUR powerhouse and car barns were located on the northeast corner of Fifth Street (University Drive) and Main Street near the Paint Creek. The buildings were erected between 1899-1900 on the east side of Main Street when the interurban was extended through Rochester. The car barns burned in May 1923 and the remaining buildings were razed in the mid-1930s after the line was discontinued. (P-411) [date is approximate] Photograph Collection
