- Jack Schafer of the Michigan-based Schafer's Peter Pan Bakery owned several speedboats named "Such Crust." The Such Crust V made a featured appearance at the American Powerboating races held in Lansing on the Grand River in May, 1953. A special derrick was required to get it in and out of the water for its course between the Logan (MLK) Street bridge and the Wavery Street bridge. Ten thousand were estimated to have viewed the races.
