Two men sit in the front, and the third is in the back. A team of three horses pull the engine. A fence runs along the sidewalk in the background. A building with a steeple stands in the distance at the upper left. The photo has been retouched in grey and peach-colored paint to outline the horses and the engine, and a horizontal black line has been drawn beneath the engine.
