He appears to be fishing in Lake Kalamazoo and another boat can be seen in the distance. The description on the back of the photograph reads "Fishing for walleye" and the second line is illegible. Baldhead with views of the stairs and a bird's eye view of the treetops overlooking the Kalamazoo River.
