- Black and white photo taken of Campus Martius and Cadillac Square from an elevated position on City Hall, facing west. The Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument stands in the center of the frame. Along the north side of Cadillac Square are the Second Williams Block topped with a Walker and Company sign for Goodrich Tires, Stilwill's Cafe, a candy store, the Burns Hotel, and other signs advertising Diamond Tires and Altes Lager. The Pontchartrain Hotel stands on the south side of Cadillac Square. To the west at the far end of Cadillac Square is the Wayne County Building. Three streetcars pass in the foreground, pedestrians mill about, and cars are parked in front of the Pontchartrain Hotel. "Cadillac Sq. 1914," is printed in the lower left.

- Print. Black and white photographic print of a police officer walking alongside a woman pushing a baby carriage in Campus Martius. The Detroit Opera House, Merrill Fountain, and the Wonderland vaudeville theater--advertising "Continuous Vaudeville"--are in the background. The photo appears to have been reproduced from one with an irregularly cropped top border, and lower left corner. "1898-1910" handwritten on verso, although the presence of the Merrill Fountain, installed in 1901, tightens this range.

In view are a moonlight tower, the Majestic Building, Detroit Opera House, and Merrill Fountain. Signs read, "H.C. Weber & Co." and "Benson's Dry Goods". Printed on verso: Bird's Eye View Woodward Avenue North of Michigan Avenue, Detroit, Mich. This Bird's Eye view shows Woodward Avenue the principal business and residence street of Detroit. The large building at the left is the Majestic Building from the roof of which tourists may get a good view of the entire city. The Fountain at the right was a gift to the city from Senator Palmer and wife the cost of which was $20,000.00. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 4, 1915.

Fort Street is visible on the far left side of the image with Michigan Avenue near the center, Woodward Avenue in the center right, and Monroe Street and Campus Martius on the far right side. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument can be seen near the lower right corner. Pedestrians, streetcars, and several horse-drawn carriages are also visible. A symbol with printed text in the lower right corner shows "Copyright 1902. By Detroit Photographic Co." The estimated date of the postcard is based upon the image depicted and is not based upon when the postcard was printed.
