- Black and white photo a canoe parade on Belle Isle's Loop Canal on August 25. 1906, as shot from a bridge adjacent to the bridge topped with a bandstand. A column of canoes curves across the canal, white clusters of other canoes are gathered around the edges of the canals. The seating along the banks of the canal is filled with spectators, many carrying umbrellas. A group of figures sit beneath the bandstand. "#768 Canoe Day, Belle Isle, Aug 25, 1906," is handwritten on the verso.

- Mounted sepia-toned photographic print of the canoeists on one of Belle Isle's lakes. A willow tree hangs over the left and top edges of the frame. Spectators sit on the shore beneath the tree, as well as beyond it. Men and women ride in the canoes, some of which are outfitted with parasols, or pillows. Detroit Boat Club burgees are painted on the sides of several of the canoes. In the distance an early automobile is visible on the road beside the lake. "Received, Aug 30 1906, Answered," is stamped on the verso of the matting.

- Mounted sepia-toned photographic print of a parade of canoes on one of Belle Isle's lakes. A chain of tied-together canoes passes heading toward the right edge of the frame. These canoes are wrapped in fabric, and decorated with streamers and garland. A group of other canoeists are gathered on the banks of the island on the right. A crowd of spectators line the periphery of the lake on the left, extending from the foreground toward a small dock in the background. A figure on the on the shore in the background near the center of the image appears to be aiding in raising or taking down a tent. "1906," is handwritten on the verso.

Passengers and paddlers are in the canoes, along with decorative flags, parasols, and even a pillow decorated with a skull and crossbones. Spectators watch the canoes from the shore on the immediate left, as well as from the further shore in the background on the right. "#766 Start of the Canoe Parade, Belle Isle, Aug. 25 1906, Det.
