The verso is printed with the message, "Special Washington Birthday Services, First Baptist Bible School, Woodward and Pingree, 11:50 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, Orchestra and Chorus 100 Voices, Splendid Program. Come.," addressed to Mrs. C.G. Hampton, Jr. of 24 Blaine Avenue, and postmarked February 19, 1914.

- Postcard. Color image of the First Congregational Church. Front reads, "First Congregational Church, Detroit, Mich." Back reads, "First Congregational Church. The present house of worship of the First Congregational church on Woodward Ave. corner of Forest, was completed in 1891 and cost $165,000. The membership of the church approximates 1000, and comprises one of the largest and most substantial organizations of Michigan Protestantism." Card was mailed and the postmark reads, "Detroit, Mich., Feb 15, 3 pm, 1909."

According to the Lansing State Journal, the banquet was held at the People's Church in East Lansing, with guests from around the state. The principal speaker was George Fuller, state historian.
