- One folio series entitled, "Detroit Illustrated," that was published in 14 parts by H. R. Page & Company of Chicago. This folio, Part Thirteen, has a gray/green paper cover that is printed in brown text. There are eleven interior pages which include printed text and sepia-toned photographic images that are entitled as follows: St. Mary's Hospital Residence of J. D. - Small sepia-toned photographic print incorrectly captioned on verso as "Cadillac Square, looking west, March 10th, 1918" which in fact depicts a street-level westward view from Campus Martius down Michigan Avenue. Snow covers the ground. The low light from a sunset silhouettes both the figures in coats and hats which approach the camera and the Majestic Building on the right, as well as creates a flare effect in the center of the image. A large sign, the visible portion reading, "Join... for" is posted on the Majestic Building on the right edge of the frame. City Hall, and the Recreation Building are in the background.

- Check, printed by Corrie's Detroit Lithograph Offices, from the Banking House of Robert Hosie for $241.28 to E. W. Blatchford and Company, dated September 25, 1872. An image of City Hall is printed on the left side of the check, and a 2 cent Internal Revenue Service stamp is printed in the center. The verso signed "E.W. Blatchford & Co." and is stamped by the National Bank of Chicago, and the Bank of New York.

- One "List of Articles Deposited in the Corner Stone of the New City Hall, This Sixth Day of August, 1868." The list is handwritten in black ink on one side of a folded sheet of paper. It appears that this list was kept in separate city files and was not deposited in the cornerstone box since it was not among the items that were inventoried inside object 1961.282.001.

In view are the Hammond Building, Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, City Hall, Dime Building, W Fort Street, and signs reading "Stroh's Bohemian Beer", "Canadian Pacific", and "The AB Gas Ranges". Printed on verso: The view shows the highest and largest Office Building in Michigan. The Dime Bank in rear of City Hall is 23 stories high and contains 1000 offices. The other white building is the Ford and contains 559 offices and is 19 stories high. The Hammond and Penobscot Buildings are at left of City Hall. Handwritten message on verso, dated Dec 10, 1915.

Printed on verso: City Hall, Detroit, Mich. City Hall Cost $600,000. The clock is one of the largest in the United States and there is but one larger in the World. The dials are 8 1/2 feet in diameter. Published by Wolverine News Co., Detroit Mich. Made in U.S.A. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked 1912.
