- Black and white postcard depicting the Belle Isle Bridge, in the aftermath of the fire, as viewed from the west. Amid the columns, only one truss remains near the center of the frame. An insert in the upper left corner provides a view along the remains of the length of the bridge. Rubble sits in the water near the closest column. A single truss is in the distance. "W.D. - Description:
- Mounted black and white panoramic image of the fire tug JAMES BATTLE being used to fight the fire which claimed the Belle Isle Bridge on April 27, 1915, created from two overlapping photos. Firefighters stand at the bow of the BATTLE, on the right side of the frame with its port side to the camera and the Detroit shore of the Detroit River, while smoke rises from the remaining trusses of the bridge on the right. Several bare columns, and another smoldering truss are visible further across the river in the background. The caption, "Burning of the Belle Isle Bridge, April 27, 1915," is printed along the bottom of the mat board.

- One folio series entitled, "Detroit Illustrated," that was published in 14 parts by H. R. Page & Company of Chicago. This folio, Part One, has a gray/green paper cover that is printed in brown text. There are three interior pages which include dark brown printed text and a sepia-toned photographic image entitled, "River Scene." The printed text shows a "Preface" section by the publisher and "The Story of Detroit" by Charles S. Hathaway. It appears that several pages of text are missing.

- One print entitled "Detroit 1888." The print consists of four engraved drawings that have been printed in black ink on white paper. The three smaller drawings at the top are entitled (left to right): "Detroit in 1705," "Detroit in 1834," and "Detroit in 1820." The large drawing along the bottom shows a panoramic view of the Detroit skyline as seen from a hotel balcony. Printed text beneath this view notes "These cuts are taken from Lyman E. Stowe's book, 'Poetical Drifts of Thought; or Problems of Progress,'" "Population 250,000," and "From a photograph taken from the balcony of the Crawford House, Windsor." Miscellaneous handwritten pencil text in the upper left area of the print shows "This was in my time, 1888, Ray Wheatfill."

- One navigational chart entitled, "Chart of Detroit River" that was compiled and published as part of the Survey of the Northern and Northwestern Lakes (War Department, Corps of Engineers). It was "Projected from a Trigonometrical Survey executed under the orders of Major C. B. Comstock, Corps of Engineers." The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 and shows the Detroit River from Wind Mill Point at the lower end of Lake St. Clair down to Pointe Mouillée at the lower end of the river. Land areas are shaded in pale yellow. River/lake areas are shown in white and pale green. Distances are given in statute miles. Soundings for lake depths are given in feet. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lighthouses and buoys are also noted. An inset chart on the lower right side provides additional details of the ship channel in the vicinity of Amherstberg and the mouth of the Detroit River.

- Mounted hand-tinted print of a panoramic photograph of Detroit's riverfront and skyline. The Third Street Station; the Fort Street Union Depot; Fort Street Presbyterian Church; the Federal Building and Post Office; the Jerome B. Rice Seed Company; A Krolik and Company; J.T. Wing and Company; the Majestic Building; the docks for the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, and the Boblo Boats; Freeman, Delamater and Company; the Public Lighting Plant, Henkel's Flour, the Wayne County Building, Old St. Mary's Catholic Church, Saints Peter and Paul Jesuit Church, City Yard, and the Detroit Railroad Elevator Company are among the prominent landmarks. Several small excursion steamers are on the Detroit River. "Copyright 1901 Detroit Photographic Co." is printed in the lower right corner. The photo is mounted on beige cardstock.

- Description:
- One "Map of U.S. Lake Survey Basin at Fort Wayne." The map consists of black ink on linen and shows the dock and frontage along the Detroit River that were occupied by the U. S. Lake Survey Office at Fort Wayne. A seawall is also shown at the upstream side of the basin. Water depths are indicated in the vicinity of the basin to the nearest tenth of a foot and are referenced "to a plane 5 feet below the capping." The names, "Wm. J. Marshall," and "Drouillard's Boathouse" are shown on the adjacent "Crane Estate" property that is located immediately northeast of the fort property. The title block on the left side of the sheet indicates that the map was "Made under the direction of Major W. L. Fisk, Corps of Engineers, and E. E. Haskell, Chief Asst., Engineer," and is dated June, 1903. A note in the lower right corner shows that the map was drawn at a scale of 1 inch = 20 feet.

A small triangular structure in the foreground at the lower right stands on the near side of a small bridge.
