- Shows an unidentified man in white behind the shop counter, and two unidentified customers in the dry goods store. Located on the west side of the 100 block, West Michigan Avenue, in downtown Lansing. A signature of J. P. Edmonds, and stamp "Edmonds Collection" are on the reverse.

- From Allegan Street. The sign on the American State Bank, under construction, indicates the date is likely 1958. Stores along the block include: Porter's women's clothing at 105, Liebermann Trunk Company at 107, Lansing Camera Shop at 109, Len's Mens Shop and Parker Jewelry at 111, Mills Dry Goods at 113, Two Legs mens clothing at 115, Dr Scholl Foot Comfort Shop and National Peanut Corp. at 117, a vacancy-formerly Roberts Jewelry at 119, Morgan Jewelry at 121, and Rouser Drugs at 123 completes the block. City Planning Division staff trimmed the photo on one side.
