- Cabinet card bearing a sepia-toned head-and-shoulders portrait photograph of Detroit Fire Commissioner Joseph Godfrey. This photograph is one of a series of eight photos of former Detroit Fire Department Commissioners. The decorative engraved logo of the photographer (Randall) has been torn off of the verso of the cabinet card photo. The proof bears the name of "Geo. Francis Train" at the bottom, and a stamp for Randall, 220 & 222 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich." is shown on the verso. (Also see photograph 1952.413.004.)

- Sepia-toned gelatin silver photo of six firemen, a horse-drawn hose wagon, and a horse-drawn steam fire engine as they are leaving the fire station. The group is Steam Engine Company No. 9 and the number, "9," can be seen on the side of the hose wagon just below the driver's seat. The brick fire station and open doors are visible in the background. A carved stone above the doors shows "A.D. 1901." Several other brick buildings can be seen in the background on the left side of the photo.

- Photographic Print (1 copy). Sepia-toned albumen cabinet card photo of a fireman who is standing beside a small table and holding a whip in his right hand. The fireman is wearing his uniform which includes a long, double-breasted coat, decorative belt, and cap. His shirt has been hand-colored in purple in the collar area. The badge on his coat has the handwritten number "2." (The copy photo shows the handwritten number "3" on his coat and the badge number on the cap also appears to be number 3.) Handwriting on the verso notes "Whitney B. Beattie."

The firefighter is also wearing a jacket, and tie; a badge is clipped onto the right side of the jacket. Written on verso, "James O'Shea." The name of the photograph studio is mostly torn off at the bottom of the card, but probably read "F. Friend, 244 & 246 Woodward Ave., Detroit."

- Black and white glossy photo of a damaged print that shows the fire station and firemen of Neptune Engine Company No. 6. The view shows a manually-operated pumper wagon in the foreground along with 10 firemen in uniforms. A small hose wagon can be seen at the far left side of the photo. There are at least 15 spectators who are standing beside or behind the wagons. An ornate 2-story brick fire station building is visible in the background and it has a sign over the central doorway which shows "Neptune, Engine No. 6." The company chief, wearing a belt with the word, "Foreman," is standing at right end of the pumper wagon and his assistant is standing at the opposite end. Each is holding a speaking trumpet. Handwritten text on the verso shows "6.4, 115207, 1, 4/25/56."

- Sepia-toned cabinet card photo showing the head and shoulders of a fireman. He appears to be seated and is wearing a dress uniform that consists of a double-breasted coat and hat. The hat badge and coat badge both show the number, "220." The name of the photographic studio is printed in gold-colored ink on the bottom of the photo: "Smith, 244 Woodward Avenue, Detroit." Handwriting on the verso shows "#17" and "Captain Richard Filban; Alert H & L [Hook & Ladder] #3, 1881; killed at Ferry Seed."
