- Receipt from C. B. Dole & Son for steam and gas fittings and installation labor purchased by William R. Sutar (Soutar) on April 26, 1889, in the amount of $8.90. The receipt is printed in black text on slightly yellowed paper and shows the letterhead of C. B. Dole & Son of Port Huron across the top. Engraved drawings of two furnaces are printed in dull red ink as part of the letterhead. The purchased items and costs are listed in handwritten text.

- Description:
- Plumbing and heating equipment in the basement of the new Station No. 1. Similar photographs appear in the booklet "Lansing Fire Department: Dedicated to the Saving of Life and Property" which was published in approximately 1950. The brochure credits George Beak, Communications Division, and Frank Mainville, Press Photographer, for the photographs in the booklet.

- A small collection of souvenir calendars from Lansing area businesses, primarily the Lansing Ice and Fuel Company. The collector was one of the last two remaining customers of this company, and kept her coal burning furnace operating until about 1970. The calendars are mainly stock photography or art, with a business's address stamped or printed on the exterior. About 50 calendars are included in the collection.
