- Black and white panoramic group portrait photograph taken of employees of Northern Engineering Works on Boblo Island for a picnic in August of 1917. The large group includes women, men, and children, and among them are several picnickers wearing ribbons on their lapels, a brass band of men in naval uniforms, and three children in sailor outfits posed in the center of the group. Two picnic pavilions are visible among the trees in the background. "R. Woodruff #162," is handwritten on the verso. A handwritten note which was previously paperclipped to the photo read: Northern Engineering Works Picnic on Boblo Island Aug. 1917 Dorothy 4 yrs of age Beatrice 2 yrs of age Hazel (in Mother's arms in center of picture) was about 8 months of age (Hazel born 1-4-1917)

- Cabinet card bearing a sepia-toned head-and-shoulders portrait photograph of Detroit Fire Commissioner Theodore Hinchman. Handwriting on the verso notes "ex-commissioner, Theodore Hinchman." This photograph is one of a series of eight photos of former Detroit Fire Department Commissioners. A decorative engraved logo on the verso shows, "Randall, Photographer, 220 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich."

- Sepia-toned full-length portrait photograph of Captain Adolph Hoenighausen, a pipeman with Phoenix Company No. 3. He leans on a prop rock stand before a painted background of a lake surrounded by mountains and trees. "Capt. Adolph Hoenighausen taken 1876 as 'Minute Man,' pipeman 'Phoenix Steamer' Engine Co. No. 3," is handwritten beneath in green pen. The photo was previously housed in a grey J.W. Hughes display folder.

- Sepia-toned composite group portrait of the members of the Detroit Fire Department in 1890, composed of 207 separate head-and-shoulder portraits of unidentified firefighters arranged in rows on the right, and, on the left, portraits of Chief James Battle, Assistant Chiefs James R. Elliott and Mark H. Gascoigne, First Battalion Chief John Kendall, Second Battalion Chief James C. Broderick, Third Battalion Chief William J. Gowan, Superintendent of Horses Allan. Armstrong, and Master Mechanic Francis Beaufait, as well as a photo of Detroit Fire Department Headquarters on the northeast corner of Wayne Street and Larned Street. Images of several pieces of firefighting equipment for a design surrounding the portrait of Battle, and the left edge of the image. A.G. - Sepia-toned cabinet card photo of unknown fireman who is standing. He has a bushy mustache and is wearing a dress uniform that consists of a long, double-breasted coat, decorative belt, and hat. The belt buckle shows the number, "2," and a hat badge shows the number, "38." The name of the photographic studio is printed in gold-colored ink on the bottom of the photo: "Earle, 253 Woodward Ave. and 55 Rowland St., Detroit." Handwriting on the verso shows "#15."

- Sepia-toned head-and-shoulders cabinet card portrait photograph of an unidentified fireman. Badge on hat reads "184", handwritten on back "#19." It's mounted onto a green card backing that bears the name and address of the photographers, Holcombe and Metzen of 222 and 220 Woodward Avenue. The reverse also includes a print of an engraving serving as a more elaborate logo for the photographers, consisting of framed photo of a woman in profile, placed before a partially drawn curtain, which eclipses a half sunburst above.

- Sepia-toned portrait photo of Jacob Guthard of Company H of the 9th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, housed inside a beige cardstock folder. Guthard is pictured in a reversed oval-shaped half length portrait wearing a Union army jacket, an eagle shoulder breast sling plate, and kepi hat with an "H" insignia pin holding his rifle. The folder's cover bears an embossed image of a coat of arms, and the handwritten note, "Company H 9th Michigan; Volunteer Infantry; Aug 1861; Jacob Guthard." "Picture of Jacob Guthard who enlisted in the Co. 14. 9th Michigan; Volunteer Infantry Aug. 1861 - at the age of sixteen years. Property of Mrs. W. J. Strudley 3019 McClellan Ave. Detroit" is handwritten on the back cover.
