- Aerial view of the prison camp at Ruhleben which housed British and Commonwealth interned civilians during World War I. This drawing shows the race track, grand stands, barracks, casino, tea house, New Town, guard room, gates, and hospital which made up the buildings of the prison camp. The Association constructed a YMCA hall on the open ground between Barracks II and XI.

- This general view of the prison barracks and compound at Wasbek is from a guard tower. A labor detachment of Russian prisoners enters the main gate after a day's work outside the facility. A German guard counts the POW's as they enter the camp to detect any escapes.

- British and French prisoners stand at attention during roll call in the prison compound at Wahn. German officers and non-commissioned officers stand in the center of the first row counting the prisoners and addressing sick calls. The prisoners stand in front of their barrack. Maintaining accurate counts of prisoners was critical for security and labor assignments.

- French and British prisoners mill around in groups on the camp compound in Muenster-Rennbahn while POW's in another barrack line up for roll call. In the background, construction is underway for new administrative buildings to support the prison camp. As the war dragged on, Allied POWs continued to flow into Germany from across Europe.

- View of the prison camp at Regensburg from the opposite bank of the Danube. Only a short fence on the perimeter separates the milling prisoners from the river, but security does not seem to be a concern for the German guards. The prisoners have taken advantage of the weather to hang up some laundry to dry.

- A Polish Legionnaire officer looks out of his cell window, behind iron bars, at Huszt while two Hungarian sentries stand guard. He probably committed an infraction of the camp regulations which resulted in his incarceration inside a prison camp.

- An Austrian officer, General Schilling, examines each Polish Legionnaire prisoner in an unidentified Austrian prison camp prior to the POW's release in March 1918. The Austrians implemented a policy of nationalism regarding their conquests in the east and this examination was part of the repatriation process.
