Pseudo-Gilbertus, Liber Sex Principiorum : manuscript leaf

- Interlinear glossing, marginal annotations, and schemata., Presumably used as a rear pastedown; discoloration from paste visible in upper, outer, and lower margins on the verso., paraphs, schemata, and a maniculum in red; 1-line, blue initial with red pen-flourishes on recto, Twelfth- to thirteenth-century, French portion (chapters 39-54) of Liber sex principiorum, the commentary on the last six classes in the tenfold schema elaborated in Aristotle's Categories--the first of his works on logic. The portion here deals with place and time. CPMA, 1:43.39-54. Popularly attributed to Gilbertus Porreta, Bishop of Poitiers (d. 1154). Extensive interlinear glossing, marginal annotations and schemata. Numerous manicula., compact, slightly rounded, highly abbreviated gothic textualis libraria; marginal annotation in a compact gothic cursiva anquitor, and Produced towards the end of the twelfth century or the first half of the thirteenth century, probably in France.
