Description:
Located on West Michigan Avenue. Lansing's first area mail carier was Bert N. La Du, October 2, 1899. He went by horse and buggy and his route took him twenty-two miles. Out Saginaw to M-100, then back to Grand Ledge Corners, south to St. Joseph Street and back into the city. Information from Heleln Grainger.
