The view looks northward (upstream) along the Rouge River and shows the new single leaf Strauss trunnion bascule bridge with its lift span in the closed position. The massive concrete counterweights can be seen at the far right side of the structure. Also, the new 2-story brick building for the bridge operator can be seen on the far right side of the photo.
