The color map is printed across pages XVI and XVII of the "Commercial Atlas of America" and shows the entire Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada. Inset maps in the upper portion of the sheet show the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair area and also the Welland Canal. Tables in the upper portion give information about quantities of bulk cargo shipped along with a list of principal cities in the region. Printed text on the verso gives information about steamship lines, canals, railroads, and irrigation projects. The map is dated 1912.
