View from near the four windmills to the east of the Monastery. At the left is the flat-roofed town of Patino with the mass of the Monastery rising above it. On the hill off to the west of the town is a single windmill. Half way down the hill, a little to the right of the center is the Convent of the Apocalypse. AT the right is the head of the harbor, with port town of La Scala. At the left of the town is the hill on which stood an ancient acropolis. Most of the side hills have at some time been terraced, but many of the terraces are now ruined. By looking just at the right of the harbor town one can see how narrowly the island escapes being cut in two right at that point. Size, 9 1/2 x 21 1/2 in.; Photographs and prints; Paper
