Banks talks about how the process evolved and how it filled a gap allowing for the resolution of issues that might have been filled by a faculty union, the people who served as grievance officer over the years, the role of the MSU President, the dissemination of FGO decisions, the appeals process, the need to have a set of uniform standards for handling grievances, and confidentiality.
