Subseries Eighteen: Kalamazoo Street School

Description:

Located at 510 Kalamazoo Street West. Land was purchased in 1881 for school use and the first building was constructed in 1883. The name was Third Ward School in 1888, then Kalamazoo Street School in 1890. A new building was built and opened in 1924. West Junior High was also on the same site.
