Black and white print of a portrait photograph of workers posed in front of and on Hurlbut Memorial Gate during its construction

Description:
Black and white print of a portrait photograph of workers posed in front of and on Hurlbut Memorial Gate during its construction. Several of the workers pose wearing aprons or holding tools, including stone mason John A. Bauer who stands wearing an apron and a bowler hat atop a brick pillar on the far left. Wooden frames hold up elements of the gate's stone work, and scaffolding is visible within the gate. Wooden cranes have been erected in front of and beside the gate. On the ground around the gate, piles of rubble surround pieces of unfinished stone work. "1894" has been handwritten in pen in the lower left corner.
