Negative, glass-plate

Description:
Negative, glass-plate. Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the bow and port side of the M.A. Hanna and Company freighter G.A. FLAGG, under steam. Two crew members are on the flying bridge, and ten other figures, including a woman wear a white dress are spread out along the main deck. A line extends from the freighter's stern into the water, where it is possibly attached to a chip log or taffrail log. Two men in a rowboat are along the freighter's port side. Another rowboat follows behind. A tree-lined shoreline is visible in the background. The image is captioned, "1915."
