Rev. Theodore Papsdorf

Notes:
Rev. Theodore Papsdorf with his wife and two sons. Photo taken in Chicago. Photo found in a file in a drawer at St. Paul's Church. At first, it showed a man, a woman, a boy, and a baby. Nothing was written on the photo. Some genealogical info was written on a separate paper, with informant's name and address: Henry Papsdorf, 38441 Wooster, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043" and a phone number. It turns out this photo shows Henry's uncle, Rev. Theodore Papsdorf in Chicago with his wife and his two sons. Theodore was St. Paul's first spiritual leader. Theodore's father, Rev. Otto Papsdorf, was a long-time pastor at St. Jacobus Church in Saline Township (now St. James Church). Theodore was born Oct. 27, 1882 at LaPorte, Indiana. He was married in Freedom Township Oct. 4, 1906 to Olga Emma Irion of Manchester. Her father Rev. Paul Irion performed the marriage. Both families were German-speaking and members of the German Evangelical movement.
