A dog sits in the street in the middle of the line of men. A young girl stands on the left edge of the frame, along the wall of their fire station. The station's large bay doors are opening. A lantern, several helmets, and fire extinguishers are on the apparatus. "Built by S.M. Stewart, Rochester, N.Y.," is painted near the front of the apparatus. The photo is mounted on a linen backing.
