Construction of East Main Street Bridge

Description:
Text attached to photo reads: "Here the Cedar Trail arrowed north through the forest along the Grand, and here, where the new Main street bridge was being built in 1949, the first crude bridge was placed in 1847. The settlement that grew up on both sides of the stream was "Upper Town," with a thriving little business district." Gift of Birt Darling.
