Neck Sherd?; Rome; Pottery; Clay (unfired); Slip; Silenus

Notes:
Neck (?) fragment of bottle imitating Arrentine ware with face of Silenus depicted front and crisscrossing double lines back, perhaps intended as hair. Silenus is given low hairline of symmetrical array of short schematic incised lines, brow represented similarly, facial hair indicated incised lines, brow represented similarly, facial hair indicated in long thin tresses with irregular incision. Linear treatment of wrinkles of nose and eyes, pupils indicated. Three necking rings of fragment and five rings around base, Light tan clay moulded hollow in two halves and sealed at side. Red slip. Walls 0.6 cm.
