Memorial card for Martin Cooney, the former Superintendent of Horses for the Detroit Fire Department. The card consists of a half folded cardstock cover, printed with a small black image of a wreath. A half-folded leaf of paper is bound in the cover with string. "In Loving Memory of Martin Cooney, Died May 1922. Only Sleeping. In the light of God we see you, / Each night we lay down; / We hear Your voice as when on Earth / And see each smile and frown. / And when we are called to join you, / This world and we are thru, / We pray to the Lord to let us go, / As peaceful and brave as you." is printed on the inside in gold on black. "Martin Cooney died May 21, 1922," is handwritten inside the cover.
