The photo shows a mass of fallen structural timbers and a large number of workers who are carrying away debris. Spectators are visible on the rooftop in the background. The explosion occurred at 9:05 on the morning of Nov. 6, 1895. The building was located at 49 W. Larned St. and was totally destroyed.
