Notes:: View of Monroe Avenue looking west from the corner at Division, showing many of the buildings facing Monroe, with the Pantlind Hotel at the end. At this date, The Porter Block at Division and the Gilbert building at Commerce are still standing. At the right is the Peck building, Guidotti's Hats, among others. Herpolsheimers Department Store can be seen a few blocks down Monroe on the left. Five-globe street lamps grace the street.
