oil lamp fragment with running man motif; Carthage; Lamps; Ceramic; Glaze; Figure in armor, horse

Notes:
Buff clay with worn brown glaze. Nozzle, part of rim, discus and sides. Nozzle has triangular termination flanked by rudimentary double volutes which do not encroach on rim. Conventional design on neck. On the rim are incised radiating lines in groups of twos set off by circular groove on either side. Air hole in discus at base of nozzle. Falling gladiator on discus, clad in full armor, head missing. One leg and arm (?) of another figure remains above him.
