Kalamazoo Street School

Description:
Built in 1883 and known as the Clark School, renamed Third Ward School in 1888, and finally Kalamazoo Street School in 1890. The original building was demolished in 1923. A new building was constructed in 1924; during the two year gap, students attended the Michigan Avenue School. The first photo shows the original Kalamazoo Street School. Photo b shows the Cass state office building across the street. Photos a, c and e show the second school building. Located at 510 West Kalamazoo Street. Six views.
