Description:
Abigail Rogers was a pioneer for the school. She and her sister Delia worked to achieve education for women. The school opened in 1855 originally in the State Capitol Building until the school was constructed in 1858. James Turner was also involved in securing funds for the school. Located at the future site of the School for the Blind at the head of West Grand River on North Pine Street. Three copies.
