Notes:
Fragment of a woven wool tapestry medallion. The warp is yellowed and there is a small amount of the yellow ground weave along one edge. The medallion weft is blue/black wool with undyed linen used to form motifs in diamonds and ovals. A small amount of linen weft-wrapping is also used. The medallion is very deteriorated and motifs are difficult to discern. A weft-wise edge was folded but no stitches are present.
