Fisher Body Power Plant

Description:

General Motors bought the failed Durant Motor Works plant on Verlinden Avenue in 1935 and moved the local Fisher Body operations there. It was later renamed the Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac plant, and the Lansing Car Assembly plant, but was known by most locally as Fisher Body. The last auto body was produced there in May 2005, and the plant was stripped and demolished over the next two and a half years. This was a heating company with offices in both Lansing and Detroit. Five views.
