Oldsmobile Runabouts in Parade

Description:
Photograph taken in Detroit on Woodward Avenue, near Grand Circus Park. The vehicle in the center of the photograph was known as "Old Scout" and had made a race with another curved-dash Olds, "Old Steady," from New York to Portland, Oregon, in 1905. The "Atomic Power for Peace" statue in the background was used during the Eisenhower era, dating this photograph to the early 1950s. Two copies.
