Description:

One architectural drawing entitled "Riopelle St. Elevation" and "Transverse Section." The drawing (Job 247) consists of red and black ink on linen and shows a front elevation view and interior cross-section view of a 3-story commercial building located on Riopelle Street. The proposed building was designed for "Mrs. Mary Schmitt, Owner, Detroit, Michigan," and included two storefronts on the ground floor. This drawing, shown at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot, was part of a set of eight sheets that were prepared by "J. Lawson Miller, Architect, Detroit, Michigan." A red ink stamp in the lower left corner of the sheet shows "Department of Buildings, City of Detroit. Oct. 23, 1912, Plans Examined and Approved by H. C. Slater."
