Amasa B. Watson House

Notes:
Major Watson house, corner of Sheldon and Fulton, front view. Torn down about 1928. Partially demolished two-story Victorian style brick house. The roof is completely gone. Workers stand atop the remaining structure. At the left side of the house, a railed balcony tops the off-center front entrance portico. The corner of the house has a tower room on both floors (although there is no tower). The main floor of the tower has its own roofline, with interesting decorative scrollwork above. In the distance on the right side of the image is a building with the sign “[Y] W C A”, (the “Y” is blocked by a tree). On the other side of the house, set back behind an ironwork fence, is another unidentified building.
