Description:

A view looking northeast from the State Insurance Bureau office, which was in the capitol building. Henry North Lawrence served as Deputy Commissioner for the Insurance Bureau in the late 1800s. The old City Hall and post office can be seen across the capitol lawn. Note on sleeve: "No. 17. June 17, '98. 4:30 pm. Time one sec. Opr. Hat."
