This interview details Pursell’s involvement in state and national politics prior to his work at Eastern Michigan University. This interview is distributed over two cassette tapes. This interview was conducted for the purpose of gathering primary research for Laurence Smith’s book, Eastern Michigan University: A Sesquicentennial Portrait (1999).
