Karanis; Textiles; Wool

Notes:
Two fragments of woven wool fabric that have been sewn together.; Fragment A - yellow warp and weft with 2.1 cm wide purple weft band. There are weft twining rows 0.4 cm and 1.9 cm to either side of the purple band. The row closest to the band is in the best condition and the twining loops pass over two warps each. The other twining row is very deteriorated and the loops pass over three warps each.; Fragment B - yellowed warp and weft.
