Mounted sepia-toned photographic print of the canoeists on one of Belle Isle's lakes

Description:
Mounted sepia-toned photographic print of the canoeists on one of Belle Isle's lakes. A willow tree hangs over the left and top edges of the frame. Spectators sit on the shore beneath the tree, as well as beyond it. Men and women ride in the canoes, some of which are outfitted with parasols, or pillows. Detroit Boat Club burgees are painted on the sides of several of the canoes. In the distance an early automobile is visible on the road beside the lake. "Received, Aug 30 1906, Answered," is stamped on the verso of the matting.
