Located between South Grand Avenue and the Grand River. Grand Avenue is one way southbound in the photo. Per city directories, the Altman's store was short-lived. Planning Division staff notations are present, one of which identifies a building as the former Montgomery Wards store at 206 East Michigan Avenue.
