Lake Drive Baptist Church

Notes:
In East Grand Rapids on the N.W. Corner Lake Drive and Croswell Ave. S.E. (Polk's, 1925). Simple, wooden sided, white painted building, with square bell tower over corner entrance. Above the entrance is a sign “Lake Drive Baptist Church, Gerard Knol, pastor” followed by the hours of Sunday services and Wednesday prayer meeting. Three-part decorative arched window adorns the front; simple sash windows appear on the side: one in the bell tower and a group of three farther back. The tower is badly in need of paint, and many shingles are loose or missing from the roof. A ladder lies alongside the building, and one automobile with a 1925 license plate is parked on the street in the right foreground. Two houses can be seen: one beside the church and one behind it. A dusting of snow on the ground and bare trees suggest fall or winter.
