- The WKAR-TV studio during a public broadcasting fundraiser, likely the first "23 Great TV Auction" held in April of 1978 which featured a televised live auction. Several celebrity auctioneers volunteered as hosts, and promotions from many area businesses were auctioned to raise funds.

Fuhry (Experimental), Theresa Thompson (1st Prize Winner) (Accounting), Mary Postler (Advertising), Ruth Boos (Service Dept.), Annette Hysienga (standing behind Ed. Fuhry and myself) (Sales Dept.). This is likely staff from the Olds Motor Works. Edmund Fuhry was a foreman there according to the 1930 Lansing City Directory. A May 25, 1929 Lansing State Journal article noted that several factories in the Lansing area cooperated with a red cloth handmade poppy sale led by the local Veterens of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts. Proceeds were used for veteran health care and related needs.
