- The "Such Crust" boat was sponsored by Jack Schafer's Peter Pan Bakery and powered with an Allison aircraft engine approximately 1700 H.P. Estimated speed 175 M.P.H. Length 30 feet, width 12 feet. This boat had a new type of v-bottom. It was built by Lester Stadacher in Kawkawlin, Michigan.

- "Front of Office" staff of the Melling Forge, which was founded by George Melling and others in 1917. Some people are identified on the photograph, including: Lydia Lockwood, Alfred Bowes (Foreman), Willard Laverty, Stanley Otto, and Roy Otto (spellings have been corrected).

- A duplicate of a photo in the Local History Photograph Collection (<a href="http://cadl.pastperfectonline.com/archive/0333C713-5C38-4D72-A3CE-937078604842">link</a>). Photo shows flooding in the area of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern depot, built in 1868 on Condit Street just east of the Grand River, north of Michigan Avenue. Flooding prevented trains from entering the area.
