- Lithograph of an engraving of the Michigan State Capitol building, circa 1873. The lithograph depicts the front of the building and some of the landscape around it, along with several people walking along the pathway to the building. Text underneath the lower right corner of the image indicates that the lithograph was printed by The Calvert Lithography Company in Detroit. Text underneath the image lists the building commissioners, including John J. Bagley, Governor of Michigan, E.O. Grosvenor, James Shearer, and Alex Chapoton. To the right of the list of building commissioners is text reading "E.E. Myers, Architect. N. Osburn & Co., Contractors. A.L. Bours, Secretary." The lithograph is printed on paper which is mounted on board.

This folio, Part Five, has a gray/green paper cover that is printed in brown text. There are six interior pages which include sepia-toned photographic images that are entitled as follows: Scripps Mausoleum Scene in Elmwood Cemetery Gentle's Flats Fountain in Grand Circus Park Detroit Athletic Club Residence of C. J. Whitney Clark's Ship Yard and Dry Dock Casino at Belle Isle Park.

- One "Map of the City of Detroit, Showing Fire Limits, Paved Streets & Sewers." The map is printed in black and red ink on white paper and shows streets, street names, ward numbers, and railroad lines. The reference key indicates that blue lines were to indicate paved streets, red lines were to indicate sewer lines, and buff-colored areas were to indicate fire service limits. However, only a few streets near downtown are marked in red and none of the other colors are shown. The names of former ribbon farm owners are shown along the top of the map. The map was "Compiled by Eugene Robinson, City Surveyor," in 1871.

- Single page from Ballou's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion, dated November 11, 1856, pgs. 279-280. Page 280 features an article about the history of Detroit along with two Detroit-related etchings. An etching of the Old State House is inset with the article and an etching of the Water Works is featured beneath the article. The verso, page 279, contains a portion of a chapter from a story and several excerpts from articles from other publications, including "Anecdote of an Actor," from the North American Review, "Magnificent Night Scene," from Hon. Edward Everett's Address at Albany, and "The Chinese Monarchy," from the Baltimore Sun.

The map is printed in colored ink with black text on a white background and shows cities, counties, townships, railroad lines, railway stations, and county population statistics as January 1, 1892. The map was published by George F. Cram of Chicago and was approved by Charles R. Whitman, Commissioner of Railroads. Counties and railroad lines are also shown for eastern Wisconsin.
